Uncurls in my mind

And stretches.

It fixes me with

Its contemptuous stare

And flexes

Its formidable 

Muscles.

Before a single word

Reaches my ears

I am

UnDone.

Its sneerIng lips

Twist

"Again? You did this yesterday.

Have you not had

Enough 

Shame

And

Failure?”

My voice fails me.

And yet

I rise

And 

Face

Another day.

I bask in delight

In sweet providence

And true plenitude

When I embrace life

With gratitude in my heart

Anger is the only thing
That keeps
The parts of me
From
Falling apart

Anger at myself
For getting stuck in this place
And not moving on

Anger at others
For being part of the problem
And not the solution

Rather
Anger than despair
Rather
Frustration than fear
Rather
Cynicism than loss of hope

But each wave of
Anger
Drowns my Spirit
Dulls my Heart
Distracts my mind

Its easier to imagine
The enemy out there
Than to see her in my own eyes

Our auras blend and shift
as our bodies embrace.
I know your sweet smile
as well as my own face.

As our atoms return to the dust
We turn and turn again
As all things must.
