Uncurls in my mind

And stretches.

It fixes me with

Its contemptuous stare

And flexes

Its formidable 

Muscles.

Before a single word

Reaches my ears

I am

UnDone.

Its sneerIng lips

Twist

"Again? You did this yesterday.

Have you not had

Enough 

Shame

And

Failure?”

My voice fails me.

And yet

I rise

And 

Face

Another day.
